On April 21, at the foot of the towering Kunlun Mountains, the newly launched onshore 3.xMWD160 wind turbine set by CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. (“CRRC Zhuzhou Institute”) was successfully hoisted in Qinghai. The wind turbine diameter of this unit is 160m, which sets a record for the largest impeller diameter of currently installed onshore wind turbines worldwide.
